Dive into Yin Yoga - The Practice and the Theory A Weekend Immersion with Megan Gamble

Location Name: Yoga Flame
Investment: $395

Fri 20th - Sun 22nd November

Join Megan for a weekend of all things Yin – think long practices, meditative moments, the theory behind Yin and ways to start sharing this style of yoga with others or cultivate a home practice.

Over three days we’ll dedicate time and space to explore ALL aspects of a YIN practice – from the poses themselves to skeletal anatomy and variations, how energy moves and flows in the body, where Yin Yoga came from, Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, and ways you can share this beautiful practice whether in a class setting or for yourself at home.

This immersion is open to yogis at ALL levels – from total newbies to experienced practitioners and teachers. If you are a teacher (or want to be at some point) it’s the perfect way to dip your toe in to Yin waters and upskill in readiness to cover some classes.

Across the weekend, you will:

🌱 Enjoy several extended Yin and meditation practices with Megan

🌱 Experience and discover a suite of Yin poses and variations

🌱 Learn how to use props to both support and deepen your experience

🌱 Discover the important role of fascia in the body

About Megan Gamble

Megan is a highly accomplished Yin Yoga and Vinyasa teacher, and is also studio director of Yoga Spot Fairfield in Melbourne’s inner north.

Megan’s teaching style is inclusive, nurturing and mindful and always contains suggestions for adapting the practice. Megan regularly weaves breath work, yogic philosophy, mantra and harmonium into her classes leaving you with a greater awareness of the roots and traditions of yoga and how to live this off the mat.

Having practiced yoga for 18+ years, and after teaching for more than a decade, Megan has trained with some of the very best Yin teachers in the Paul Grilley-style of Yin – think functional yoga for all body types, in-depth anatomy knowledge, an ability to weave TCM principles into the experience, and guided breath work and meditation. She shares these teachings in her Yin Yoga Immersion and all of her teacher training offerings.

Megan is proud to call Melbourne home, and when she’s not on a yoga mat you’ll likely find her hanging out on the swings or soccer pitch with her two kids at a local park, drinking coffee, swimming in the ocean, or cheering on her favourite football team, Essendon (and desperately hoping they make finals sometime soon!).
