Thousands of years ago a Spiritual Science was created, a step-by-step process designed to awaken humanity to its highest potential. This system is called Hatha Yoga: The Science of Awakening.
The foundation of this process and indeed the prerequisite for ALL yogic advancement is the stabilization of the mind, also spoken about as the awakening of the Lunar Force. Tradition states that it’s not until we slow down, gain insight into the nature of our mind and develop a capacity to focus and remain calm in the face of adversity that the real world of Yoga opens up to us.
Ultimately, Hatha Yoga is the path of connecting with our inner source through the gift of Meditation. Awakening the Lunar Force looks at the exact methodology including Asana, Pranayama, Bandha and Kriya Meditation to elegantly guide us inwards to bring forth the mind’s innate luminosity and simultaneously touch that aspect of our being that exists beyond the mind.
THE SOURCE AND PROGRESSION OF HATHA YOGA
Discussion will include information on the step-by-step progression of Hatha Yoga as it moves us towards the experience of activating the dormant powers within the body and mind. We will also look at the philosophical worldview that birthed the practices of Hatha Yoga, specifically how the Gunas, the Doshas, the Chakras, the Prana Vayus and the Nervous System are all effected differently depending upon the poses we practice and the way we practice them. Essential knowledge for all dedicated Yogis looking to evolve their practices.
MEDITATION – THE MASTER KEY
Of all of the Limbs of Yoga, Meditation has the greatest power to impact our future and our destiny. This lecture will look at the 3 fundamental stages of Meditation and how to practice them in the most meaningful way. With the right knowledge and attitude, the ancients tell us that the road to Samadhi is much shorter than what we may think.
